Istanbul’s popularity continues to climb

istanbul-kizkulesi-tarihIstanbul Culture and Tourism Directorate announced number of tourist arrivals in October 2013.

A total of 8.949.790 tourists visited Istanbul in the first 10 months of 2013. The Directorate said that the number of foreign tourists visiting Istanbul increased 11.9 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Number of tourists visiting the city continues to increase in October. A total of 998.442 tourists visited Istanbul in October 2013, an increase of 9.3 per cent compare to October 2012 that visited by 913.134 tourists.

The most of the tourists arrived in Istanbul in the first 10 months of the year are from Germany with 1.029.176 tourists which is followed by Russia with 479.138, USA with 440.552, and France with 414.726.
