Jumeirah to manage hotel in Istanbul

pera-palace-nightviewThe oldest luxury hotel in Istanbul, which formerly accommodated passengers travelling on the Orient Express train has been acquired by owner of World Travel Channel; Demet Sabanci Çetindoğan.

According to a source in Dubai, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company; Jumeirah is soon signing agreement with Mrs. Çetindoğan to manage the Pera Palace Hotel.

Istanbul's historical Pera Palace Hotel, which hosted a wide range of luminaries, celebrities, politicians, and heads of state, was reopened on September 1st, 2010. The reopening comes after an extensive two years, 23 million euro restoration project. The hotel features 115 rooms including 16 suites named after the hotel's most illustrious guests and retains the original grandeur of the property whilst offering luxurious facilities true to a 21st century destination hotel experience.

Pera Palace Hotel is located in the cosmopolitan Tepebaşı district of Pera. Jumeirah Group will start managing the Pera Palace Hotel in 2012.
